Effects That Often Occur After Vaccines

Effects That Often Occur After Vaccines – This Covid-19 vaccine actually has the official name Vaxzevria. However, most people mention AstraZeneca. Hundreds of millions of people around the world are looking forward to getting vaccinated against the coronavirus as soon as possible. But at the same time, many people doubt and fear. The reason is, on the one hand they want to protect against Covid-19 infection, but on the other hand they are afraid of the side effects of the new vaccine. Various side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine that appear are normal and commonly experienced after receiving vaccinations. Generally, side effects are felt such as fever, pain in the area of the injection site, to soreness.
Most of the side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine are said to be a natural response of the immune system. Experts say this side effect could be a sign of the immune system starting to work to recognize foreign elements introduced by the vaccine.
Development of the COVID-19 Vaccine in Indonesia
Until now, the COVID-19 vaccine is still being developed and researched by various pharmaceutical companies and health institutions, regarding its effectiveness and safety. To get a marketing authorization, a vaccine must go through 3 phases of clinical trials.
In Indonesia itself, phase III clinical trials are being conducted on the SINOVAC vaccine developed by Sinovac Life Science, China. This vaccine was tested through PT. Bio Farma and involved 1,620 volunteers. Research on this vaccine is ongoing and is planned to end in February 2021.
Not only that, Indonesia is also developing a vaccine called the Red and White vaccine. This vaccine was developed by the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology which is part of the COVID-19 Research and Innovation Consortium under the coordination of the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency.
The development of this vaccine is expected to be completed by the end of 2020 and will later be distributed to the public after passing preclinical trials and clinical trials.
COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects
Just like other drugs and vaccines, the COVID-19 vaccine can provide many benefits, but it is also known to cause various side effects. So far, several reports state that there are several side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine that can appear, including:
- Mild fever
- Pain or redness at the vaccine injection site
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Muscle and joint pain around the injection area
Some of the side effects above are mild side effects that generally go away on their own. The appearance of these side effects actually indicates that the body of the vaccine recipient is forming immunity or immunity to COVID-19 disease.

If you are taking a clinical trial of the COVID-19 vaccine and experiencing side effects after getting the vaccine, or you are in doubt and want to make sure whether the complaint you are experiencing is a follow-up event after immunization (AEFI) or symptoms of COVID-19, here are some tips that can help you: You can do to relieve these side effects:
- Consume more water and eat regularly
- Give a cold compress on the sore
- Take pain relievers, such as paracetamol, as directed by your doctor
- Get enough rest, by sleeping about 7-9 hours every night
Although rare, giving vaccines, both the COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines, can cause more serious side effects, such as severe allergic or anaphylactic reactions. These reactions can cause shortness of breath, weakness, and fainting.
If an anaphylactic reaction occurs after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, contact your doctor immediately for treatment.
Causes of side effects
That side effect suggests that an injected Covid-19 vaccine is working. The vaccine teaches the immune system how to recognize and attack the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes Covid-19, if the virus enters the body. Although some of the side effects of the vaccine are similar to the symptoms of Covid-19 infection, it is certain that the vaccine will not infect us until we become infected. Those are some of the side effects of the Covid-19 vaccination that often arise. Don’t be afraid of the side effects of vaccination, but remember that the Covid-19 vaccine provides great health benefits.
Ready to ignore the risks of vaccines?
This is the responsibility of each individual. Everyone has to weigh up for themselves, is the profit greater than the risk for him? Is it more important to me, to protect myself and others through vaccination? And so back to living a normal life. Or, for me the risk of this latest technology vaccine is too great?
There is also another consideration, all the risks and side effects that have been recorded so far, is the moment-by-moment recording data from the last few months. This should be noted, so that we are not too euphoric about the rapid process of developing vaccines. As with previous experience with other vaccines, long-term studies will provide clarity. This is called phase 4, with global vaccination monitoring after the permit is issued.
So far there is no information about the possibility of rare side effects, for example in comorbid people or people with allergies. Such side effects can only be observed, if a large number of people have been vaccinated and monitored long-term.…
